Lino Prints
Linoleum (Lino) printing is a form of printmaking, The design is drawn on the plate in reverse, with pencil or painted with ink. This image is cut into the linoleum.
The artist carves areas which will remain white (the same with any color paper or cloth). Areas not carved will print the ink color. The entire surface is rolled with ink.
Paper 1” larger than the plate, is placed over it, and run through a printing press. If no press is available, one can apply pressure by hand to transfer ink onto paper.
